The $250 smart display from Amazon is a 15.6-inch screen designed to live on your wall. Widgets, Visual ID and a picture frame design make this display a tempting option, but it might not be the best bet for most people. We installed and tested it to find out.

If the price is lower, I would probably use it as a Smart mirror – providing that it can go off dark screen until being woken by voice commend.
I would get the 10, or even the 8 for that matter if they were flat and could mount to the wall. Unfortunately they don’t so 15 it is. Installing it as a security monitor for my ring cams. Want it off the floor away from sticky curious little hands lol

I feel like this review missed the mark. She wanted WhatsApp on it. This wasn’t designed for texting with friends. This was designed for your family calendar and controlling your smart home, as well as video chat.
Echo show, not tablet or a phone. Why will you want Zoom or messenger in display? This is good next to an exit door for remainder or display door camera view.
Echo show 10 sound is the best ❤for some reason and it’s more exciting cause it follows where you go perfect for the kitchen esp when your cooking it follows very friendly . My kids love it so much ❤
You talk like you can’t mount it other ways…..under cabnet mount free standing stand and more….doent only have to be hung on your wall……lord
There are a lot of flaw designs on those devices. Amazon tech supporters are so useless. Do not buy them!

Seeing how chat gpt works, finally confirmed this was just a gimmick. Will Samsung just design a speaker mount for their tablets and let us add Spotify, youtube and Microsoft apps To get this over with? Maybe half the weight and wireless charging? Charge 500-700 and stamp a few brands on it and we can finally have something useful. Echo devices work far worse than a tablet, all except one don’t have a YouTube app and they can’t even link to your phone to control the content. I have 6 echo devices. A kindle oasis. Prime membership. And it can’t even display a timer until it’s done.

But waaaaaaaaah you can’t rotate it then! Immature baby. Also, please more of the idiotic side eyes when you’re acting like you’re thinking about why they’d do something you don’t approve of. You forgot the main difference. In the smaller version you don’t have a fire tv with access to many streaming video services. It is a huge difference, that’s why it is on a bigger screen!
I keep mine on a stand and not on the wall so I can rotate it and move to other places as needed. Like the larger screen size

I liked the pros and cons on this video it seems the echo show 10 It is a much better product than the 8 or the 15th
Still too small, a 24" monitor with a firestick would still be a superior device
It totally is easy to change from portrait to landscape with the dual included bracket

You’re actually wrong about the orientation of the mount the mount stays in one place and you can remove to landscape and portrait the show at any time
I can’t believe I’m just hearing about this.
Just ordered one. Excited because it will be mounted underneath a cabinet in the kitchen. I will be cool to watch prime or follow a recipe on Pinterest on a larger screen in the kitchen. Sound or camera quality isn’t important for my use.
2024 July 8: My frustration with Alexa is increasing daily. As one with a severe hearing loss, I’m upset that virtually all news videos have no captions. Rarely do other videos too. I’m shown items and polls that are not interesting to me. When I do respond to a poll, the results do not go away by themselves anymore. And the poll questions are not good IMO. There’s so much more that frustrates me.
Sounds like they should have made it compatible with TV or monitor mounting.

I want it so much! I have a TV, a laptop, cell phone, speakers, etc. what I want is something that can help me organize, put shopping lists on, and entertain me while doing dishes and cooking, and showing me my front door when I need. It would be great if they added apps to it, but it may be that a certain company owns the rights and they can’t. Either way, I have other devices for other needs. This seems so perfect for me. Im getting the swivel arm for the mount though, so I have options on rotation and how to display it.
Seem like an ipad would do the same😅

You can rotate screen without drilling more holes you just unhook it and place how you want it landscape / portrait the bracket it a square great design .
Buy a 11" tablet with a pen ….take notes and attach it to your existing echo ….simple ,portable ….save $$$$
