– ABOUT THIS VIDEO –
You may wonder why you should get the best electric shaver. Nowadays, not all men still shave every day. Certainly not their faces. Some guys hardly ever shave. However, an electric razor is perfect for the old guard who favours a smooth appearance and younger men who are turning away from the beard.

  1. Why don‘t you mention the price? And the price of replacement blades. That is very important if you want to make a decision on what to buy

  2. the problem I have with Phillips is that their replacement heads are really expensive compared to Braun Usually they are twice as expensive. Additionally, after I shave with my Braun series 7, i always rinse and then rotate my blades to prevent uneven wear and further extend their life. I plan to buy a new Braun series 9 pro

  3. This appears to be a paid for video by Braun. Braun has gone beyond what they could improve upon. I bought on of these (Series 9) and it is Kaput now. Braun metallurgy was not advance enough to prevent corrosion on one of the charging port terminals.

All the water collects in this area as the charging connections are on the base which is at the bottom. The previous models were on the back and water drained off easily. I cannot find spare parts to fix it. As it is just over 40 months old, Braun would not cover it either. As I did not want to expend nearly $60CDN for postage, I opted to purchase the 9PRO+. This is a farce. It does not cut any better than the 9, which did not improve on the 7.

I started using an E shaver in the 70’s as simple razor blades gave ne a bloody face for the first couple of shaves. Also, lathering etc., was not that convenient. With the E Shaver I was able to shave in my car while driving to work.

Just face the truth. Blade shavers gives a much closer shave. The present cartridge blade shavers have come a long way. No bloody face with a much closer shave.

Adding insult to injury my new 9PRO+ quit working while using in my shower. After 5 minutes, kept outside, it started working again. The Wet & Dry slogan is out of the window. I am returning it and would be using four or five blade razors again, after almost 50 years I am back to where I started.

I tried calling Braun Canada and after holding the line for over 30 minutes, I gave up. Over $400 for the shaver and $100 for a replacement cassette every year plus cleaning solution cartridges @ min $30 for 3, it is simply stupid to use these for an inferior, but a convenient shave. Mighty Braun has failed.

  6. "Best Electric Shavers 2024 [don’t buy one before watching this]" isn’t ideal for a couple of reasons. Firstly, claiming something is the "best" is subjective and can be misleading since what’s best for one person might not be for another. Secondly, the phrase "don’t buy one before watching this" can come across as overly promotional and may diminish trust in the content’s objectivity. It’s better to present information objectively and let viewers decide for themselves, as I do.

  7. I’ll stick with my Remington foil shaver. The pop-up trimmer is useful, and shaving is quick, non-irritating, and effective.

  8. Giving a thumbs down because the title line says 2024 best shavers, but video was released a year ago, which would have been early 2023.

  9. The Braun 9 series is expensive. It is the old adage "you get what you pay for"! This is the best electric razor that you can buy today that will almost duplicate a power Gillette shave. The battery life is beyond belief. In a year of use I have never depleted the battery. This thing runs forever. The top of the line Panasonic comes in second. It is a good razor. The Braun is the best. Don’t skimp. Put your money on the 9 series Braun. You won’t be disappointed. I’m old school. I shave every day. Old men with a gray two (2) stay stubble. Look exactly like that. Old!

  10. SE BEST IS DE ALDI STORE IN MELBOURNE AUSTRALIA COST ME 30 DOLARES LAST ABOUT TWO MONTH WHEN Y CHARGE THE BEST ALDI FROM GERMANY..

  11. After years of dedicated blade shaving with the top-of-the-range Gillette Fusion wet/manual shavers that always seemed to satisfy my OCD mature, the ridiculous increase in the price of replacement blades & quality shaving cream I really liked the Philips S9000 Prestige as soon as I first saw it (between the gorgeous-looking shaver itself that’s a beautiful weight that reeks of high quality, the amazing SkinIQ charging system & the phenomenal cleaning pod & liquid cartridge insert that’s placed within it & lasts about 3 months) but then I saw the $600 AUD price & was a tad wary, although my ‘old chook’ (aka mother) really wanted to buy it for me for my 50th birthday on the 18th December (the same day that Brad Pitt turned 60 & Keith Richards turned 80, as well as numerous other celebrities of varying ages, funnily enough)…anyway, she got her way & I am SO INCREDIBLY GLAD that I relented & allowed her to buy it for me from The Shaver Shop (Australia), complete with a $100 cashback offer that Philips refunded within less than 48 hours, directly into her bank account! I cannot possibly complain about ANYTHING re: this AMAZING shaver & I actually look forward to using it each & every morning since first receiving it, some 10 days ago now – that’s rather sad, eh?!

  12. WASTE OF TIME VIDEO..!! NO INFORMATION OTHER THAN WHAT YOU CAN READ ON THE BOX…. THIS IS JUST FOR AMAZON KICKBACKS..!! AS EVERY LINK GOES THERE.. BEST BUY HAD BETTER PRICES ON SOME OF THEM… SHAMEFUL VIDEO

  13. The Panasonic Shavers are BETTER than Both The Braun and Rotary Shavers . I have been shaving for 50 years so this Old Guy should know !!!

  14. I’ve have the latest Phillips series 9000, the Panasonic Arc5 and Braun S9 Pro plus.. Phillips is the closest and quickest but leaves a rash/reddish under neck if getting the flat hairs .. Braun is the best IMO, especially when going over same area a few times with the tricky hairs under neck line, very gentle, the Braun pro plus trimmer (a upgrade compared to std pro model) is a far better trimmer than the phillips or Panasonic models.. Hope this helps 👍😊

  15. I’m not a huge fan of Braun’s I had a series 5 which while it did a decent job it seemed to take forever, replaced it with a Philip’s 5000 and it gives as good a shave as a blade with minimum effort,it’s the best electric razor I’ve ever used and I’ve had a few.

  16. I had a Braun series 7 for 20 years, and I can say it powers through the stubble, but the blades, although they will shave you for 12 to 18 months, they do lose their closeness after about 1 month, and gradually decline. My trick is, I shave with my old blade first, it only takes 2 seconds to change to my new one to finish off. That way I get a close shave long time, and still only go through one blade every 18 months or so. So best to start your second blade about 12 months, then at the 18 months, the new one becomes the old one, and after a while, start to finish off with a new one again. ………… I can also add, I was paying about $45 AU for a blade, now pay $69. Inflation. The Series 5 and 6 const $59, and they have the same motor as the series 7. I can buy a new series 6 now on sale for $149 at shaver shop, or $199 with beard trimmer kit. RE PANASONIC: I bought a new Panasonic from Shaver shop for $99, as it was almost half price, and I thought being 20 years more modern, it would be as good as my Braun, and not much more than a new blade. It was RUBBISH. Weak as piss, stuck to stubble like Velcro. I complained, they said bad luck, I complained more saying it was false advertising that it was "powerful". It should have been advertised as low power, for teenager perhaps. I got a refund, and so they didnt totally lose out, I upgraded to the more powerful Panasonic, normally $309.95 for a good discount. (Model ES-ST29, shaver shop exclusive) It was a bit better, but still was NOT capable of shaving a 24 hour stubble. It can do 6 hour, but not a full days worth. I can do a 2 to 3 day stubble shave with my 20 year old BRAUN. So the Panasonic is now on the reserve bench……………….. So looking into the REVS or "shaving actions per minute" my upgraded Panasonic does 13,000. A series 5, 6 or 7 Braun does 24,000. Maybe that explains the poor Panasonic performance. Not sure what my old Braun does. A series 8 Braun does 30,000 and a series 9 Braun does 40,000. So I looked up the latest Panasonic, ($899 retail) and it does 84,000. Thats pretty fast. So I can see why people seem to like the Panasonic, but be warned, dont buy the lower price ones, thinking they are all good!! For same money, the Brauns are much better. But if going top range, maybe the Panasonic.

  17. I purchased the top Braun model this year, and more recently, the top phillips. For me the phillips is by far the best and closest shave. Just one opinion though…

  19. Nothing can compete with Braun Series 7 and Series 9 . Braun S 9 is the ultimate in efficiency and precision . It is an unmatched Eng Marvel at the moment . I own two Series 7 and the latest , one Series 9 since last 2 year . Braun cannot let you down , my trust.

  20. Less than 2 years, i bought Broun series 9. last week, the head shaving damaged.
The cost is so expensive, so instead, I bought a philips series 5000 from Amazon at reduced price with nearly same price.
I am so happy with peformance of the philips 5000 series.
Now I don’t know what to do with the Braun shaving machine!
This is not fair! If I knew the cost is so expensive and will last less than two years i wouldn’t have bought it from the beginning.
Conclusion: don’t buy Braun shaving machine.
Again don’t buy Braun shaving machine.

  21. I bought the braun series 9. I was a bit dissapointed. I was using a panasonic arc 5 before. Both make the same work. The difference is the price and braun’s travel case is expensive too
